Vitaking Hair, Skin, Nails Complex is a complex product specially formulated to maintain beautiful and healthy hair, skin and nails.

It contains, among others, vitamin B-10, also known as Paba, choline, inositol, l-cysteine, horsetail and MSM.

PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) was once thought to be one of the B vitamins. We now know that it is actually an amino acid and is not a vital nutrient directly, but is essential for certain micro-organisms (gut bacteria). These bacteria are part of the body's so-called normal flora, and they also have benefits, such as producing vitamins and repelling pathogenic bacteria.

Choline used to be considered a member of the B vitamin family, but since it is not only available from external sources but can be produced by the body, it is not a vitamin. It is found in quite a lot of foods (e.g. liver, wheat germ, peanuts, eggs) In fact, it is found in everything that contains lecithin. Choline is one of the constituents of lecithin.

And inositol is another constituent of lecithin. Like choline, inositol is an "unofficial B vitamin" because it can be synthesized by the body.

Hair is roughly 90% made up of a special protein called keratin. This is why you can find keratin in various hair care products. And cysteine, an amino acid, is essential for building keratin.

MSM (methylsulphonyl methane) may at first sound like an artificial ingredient, but it is an organic sulphur compound. It is found in meat, dairy products and eggs, and in unpleasant smelling vegetables such as onions. MSM is needed to make amino acids.
