The MEINL Wind Gongs feature an almost flat shape, which allows the gong’s sound to fully open. This design enables the gong’s sound to spread across a wide spectrum and sustain for a long period. The gong’s acoustic properties ensure that every strike produces a rich, clear sound while the tone resonates.
Deep Tones and Sizzling Overtones
One of the key features of the MEINL Wind Gongs is their deep tonal base, which dominates with softer strikes. However, with more powerful strikes, the gong beautifully opens up and produces wave-like overtones.
