The MEINL Sonic Energy Wind Gongs are traditionally handcrafted in China using a special bronze alloy. These gongs are hand-crafted masterpieces that offer the best acoustic properties. These gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs, and their unique shape provides a distinctive sound.

Flat Shape and Wide Vibration Range

MEINL Wind Gongs feature an almost flat shape, which allows the sound to fully open up. This flat shape helps the gong's resonance spread across a wide spectrum and sustain for a long time. As a result, every strike produces a rich, clear, and powerful sound, while the resonance lasts for an extended period.

Deep Tones and Sizzling Overtones

One of the key features of MEINL Wind Gongs is their deep-toned sound, which dominates with softer strikes. However, with stronger playing, the gong beautifully opens up and produces wave-like overtones that enrich the sound. The sizzling overtones dynamically change and offer a unique acoustic experience. Available Sizes and Accessories

MEINL Wind Gongs are available in various sizes, ranging from 12" (30 cm) in diameter to 48" (120 cm). Each gong comes with a mallet that is sized appropriately to maximize the gong's acoustic performance. The gongs are also supplied with a cover to ensure their protection when not in use.
