Bergamot essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the peel of the ripe and unripe fruit of the bergamot orange tree. This essential oil, which has a citrusy yet sweet scent, is excellent for creating a feeling of calm and happiness. It is useful in treating urinary tract infections, skin problems, improves liver and stomach function.

Bergamot essential oil is used in aromatherapy to treat depression, stress, tension, low self-confidence, fear and hysteria.
